About the event
CTBUH India's annual Walk - 2024 event focused on Transit-Oriented Development, offering students a rare opportunity to experience metro construction firsthand. Over 120 engineering and architecture students, along with faculty members, descended 30 meters through a construction staircase and walked 300 meters inside an active metro tunnel to observe Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) operations.
The visit was meticulously coordinated by the project team to ensure safety, security, and rich technical insights. A special thanks to Team JKUMAR for their support. The walk concluded with an engaging session by eminent metro professional, Ar. Satyakam Garg, who shared two decades of global metro development experience with the participants.
